To enhance Newsweek’s Branching Business Editorial Column, we created a first-to-market application using the new LinkedIn API called The Career Tree.

The Career Tree allowed users to submit their career path, from their first internships and entry level jobs, to the side gig all the way up the corporate ladder of running a company. In essence, The Career Tree visualizes your career as a tree. The lower branches represent your education while the upper branches represent your employment career with each leaf representative of positions you’ve held. The diameter of each leaf corresponds to the number of years spent at that position.
