Just before the premiere of the final season of Game of Thrones, Entertainment Weekly cemented its place as the definitive source of all things Game of Thrones with comprehensive coverage of everything super fans need to know about the conclusion of HBO’s sweeping fantasy.

With a rabid fan base, and one of the largest audiences on linear television, we leveraged EW’s exclusive access to Game of Thrones to position the all-new Toyota Rav4 Limited in front of a massive audience of like-minded consumers. From the lead-up to the season 8 premiere through the May 19 series finale and beyond, together with Toyota we offered exclusive details about what was to come, how the cast and crew pulled it off, and what it all meant — while also looking back at how we got here, and pulling back the curtain on some of the series’ most memorable moments.

Throughout the season Toyota sponsored our 10 part podcast series, had advertising ownership of every single article about Game of Thrones across the Meredith network (including EW.com, PeopleEnEspanol.com, People.com, and InStyle.com) as well as a series of high impact magazine takeovers with EW’s Game of Thrones preview issue, sponsoring all 16 unique characters covers – the most in the magazine’s history.

Whats more, the recall was some of the highest we had ever seen, blasting through all benchmarks, proving that quality content and meaningful partnerships can leave a lasting impact.
